In 1982, the business was originally started by Cecil &
Diane Friend. Tommy and Lisa purchased the business from
them in June 2004
One can step back in time while shopping in the historic
backdrop of the Groppe Building. This was the first brick
structure in West and it extends half a city block. The building
was built in 1892 by August Groppe Sr. and still maintains the
original indoor water well with 25 feet of clear spring water.
